Sun Hat for Alex

IMG_7720With all these cold, snowy, dreary days we’ve been having lately I decided to whip up a summer sun hat for my nephew so that my thoughts may be warm and cheery thinking of those dog days of summer soon to arrive!

This pattern uses a worsted weight cotton yarn to work up a lightweight, breathable, and breezy adorable sun hat, perfect for toddlers and young children on those warm sunny summer days.  This hat features a shell stitch design in the centre which adds a summer quality that isn’t very feminine so this hat can be made for both boys and girls.  Add a flower, a sun or a summer themed appliqué for that added touch.

This pattern is written for toddlers 1-3 (18″-19″), children 4-10 (19″-21″), and female adult (21″-23″).

This pattern has been tested, however if you should come across any mistakes, please do not hesitate to comment or send me a message, after all…we’re only human!
