I have a girlfriend who loves kitties. She is going to be a first time grandmother come December and I wanted to make something for her. My aunt gave me this crazy yarn to play around with. I started to make a scarf with it, but I didn’t like how it was turning out. Then I tried to make a hat with it, again, I didn’t like how it was turning out. Then I thought … ‘hmmm… This yarn would be great for an amigurumi project. Maybe a bear, or a puppy?…I know, a kitty!!!’ I came up with this pattern one night while fooling around with the yarn. I’ll be honest, it is creepy yarn to work with! But it’s soft and adds great texture to the kitty.
When zombies attack you need to be prepared and no one knows that better than my kids!!! My boys are huge Plants vs. Zombies (other wise known as PvZ) fans (Plants vs. Zombies is a registered trademark of PopCap Games). They loved the computer game so much we had to get it for the Xbox and my son’s Nintendo 3DS. When they are not playing the game, they are acting it out. One kid will pretend to be a plant and the other will be a zombie and then they have at it. They read Plants vs. Zombies books and collect PvZ stickers. Last year, Santa brought them PvZ figurines to play with because that’s all they wanted for Christmas. They are totally obsessed with the game and have been, for what seems like years. I have searched high and low for PvZ Crochet Patterns and have come across a few really nice ones, but I have yet to find a pattern for the Cherry Bomb which is my youngest son’s favourite plant in the game, so I thought I’d have a go at it and try and write up a pattern for him; this is what I came up with.
I hope the pattern makes sense. Please let me know if there are any mistakes and I’ll address them right away
